Well I guess I cannot email you about anything since you have pretty much
covered everything that is contrary to atheism in your long list of what you
don't want to hear. Its to bad that your insecure enough in your own
beliefs that you can't hear anything contrary. But enough with that. I am
just curious. Why do you believe in evolution even though not one aspect of
it has been proved? There is more evidence for creation then evolution
(look at www.drdino.com). Also for your idea that science has disproved
that there is a God. Why couldn't God have created those things in the
universe and on earth that you say disprove him. Einstein even stated that
there had to be a supreme being for the Big Bang to take place. Lets take a
look at this. A small infinitly dense piece of mass is sitting there.
Suddenly a huge introduction of energy is introduced and the thing explodes
and te universe expands outward. Where did the mass come from? Where did
the energy come from? Now I am not claiming to be a scholar or anything. I
am just a college student. But I know from own life that there is a God.
There are over a hundred prophecies in the old testament about Jesus's
birth, life, death, and resurrection. He fulfilled every single one. Now,
there are twice as many prophecies about his second coming. When that day
comes, Jesus will raptuere his church up to heaven. This means that people
all over the world will disappear in "the blinking of an eye" as the Bible
says. This will usher in the last several years of earths existence and
trust me, they will be the most turbulent times the world has ever faced.
Nobody knows when this will take place but if it does happen in your life
time and you are unfortunate enough to be left behind because you haven't
accepted Jesus as your Loard and Savior, just know that you still have time.
You have just missed the first call. I urge you to look into these things.
I will pray for you even though you don't want anyone to.

Subject: blunder in your Noah's ark article

You state that when Noah sacraficed clean animals after the flood subsided,
"there go the breeding pairs" and then go off on some theory that perhaps
the animals were pregnant on the ark.

The Bible clearly states that there where *seven* pairs of clean animals.
The purpose of providing extra clean animals was clearly to prepare for a
sacrafice without endangering the survival of the sacraficed animals'
species. You even mention the fact that 7 pairs of clean animals were
brought near the beginning of your article.

Barring anything else you say, you've got to concede to me that you
blundered on this one!

Adrian. Would you be convinced there was a God if an alien culture or
cultures had a religion identical to one found on Earth. Would the fact that
the same message was received from the same God in isolated populations be
enough to convince you? You seem to imply that nothing in this universe would

coincidence? I am willing to admit it would be devastating to my beliefs if

You seem to be attached to religious notions such as
"good" and "bad". You should purify your thinking of
such things. Goodness, badness, rightness, wrongness,
conscience, guilt, etc. are mired and rooted in the
religious quagmire. They are the very things used to
frighten and manipulate. Your objectivity is going to
be breeched as long as you hang on to politically
noble goals such as equality of the races, etc. You
are only substituting one weak and subjective frame of
reference for another. You must enhance your reasoning
skills. What do I mean? If you examine a black culture

every) way inferior to another social structure, you
must default to logic. There is no tragedy in that.
There is only clarity. You have a long way to go and

I didnt really go to much into detail with your web page becuase i am
christian and while i do believe i have a pretty open mind i try not to

and i would just like to make clear what those things are, clean animals are
like chickens,cows,pigs,etc. and unclean would be vultars,rats,snakes

warned against these practices due to disease and etc. And i am sure that u

You asked for a real explanation for the seemingly irreconcilable
paradoxes of the story of Noah's ark. The answer of course is simple.
There never was any real 'flood' The so called flood was actually a
flooding of the mind. The sinners actually drown in a sea of illusion
which was imposed by God as a punishment for heresy. This is why the
sinners continualy torture themselves in a conceptual battle and more
often than not a battle of words and worse. The language of the legend
is metaphorical, but the deluge is very real. Heaven and hell exist
within every moment, the difference being whether or not you cling to
the illusion.

Were God to not exist, then humanity must necessarily be spiritually,
psychologically self-sufficient. In which case humanity would not be
able to conceptualise an outer existance above humanity (God), because

F***ing hilarious and thought-provoking! Thanks

I love the logic on that page and most of the arguments presented. I
suppose most of them weren't technically 'arguments' if speaking with
moderately intelligent creatures.

A couple things in the conclusion I found some problems with:

- 2nd paragraph - "This includes, of course, all those innocent babies
and children who haven't had time to even start sinning yet."

Most Christians I know (I'm not that sure on Catholics) believe in
original sin. I'm sure you've heard of it, and that would make those
innocent babies and children not-so-innocent, even from birth.

- 3rd paragraph - "Drowning babies... Quite odd behaviour for an
all-powerful, infinitely ***compassionate*** God, is it not? "

The OT God wasn't all that forgiving or compassionate- he was quite
destructive, too, as you mentioned earier concerning advanced weaponry.

- 3rd paragraph - "Of course, as they ***hadn't actually sinned yet***,
they couldn't go to Hell, so I suppose they must have gone to Heaven.
But in that case, why did they ***deserve*** to have the life choked out
of them by violent, muddy flood-waters? "

Again I point to original sin. Also, I'm too lazy to look up the verse
but you seem somewhat knowledgable: "All fall short of the glory of God"
- its probably in the new testament, but that's still the reasoning for
Jesus beaming down - to be the "perfect sacrifice".. so I suppose all
but Jesus actually DID "deserve to have the life choked out of them by
violent, muddy flood-waters".

Other than those minor points, I find your reasoning quite sound and
witty. Kudos to you, and keep up the fight against stupid Christians -
they are a few smart ones out there, but please keep helping bring the
light to the morons.

Subject: noahs ark a load of cobblers?

It amases me totally how often someone publishes information (so called) on the internet without even bothering to get the biblical facts even half correct. In Genesis it states very clearly that it HADNT rained and so a mist was caused to raise up from the ground to water the plantlife. This says to me that there was a vast amount of water under the surface of the earth. Also before the flood, where does the bible quote that it had ever rained?, it doesn't. The flood was the FIRST rain and a lot of the water for the flood very likely came from under the surface.

Noah didn't have problems with scheming evil people, quite the opposite. Imagine it, an old guy and his family building a huge ship in a dry place and stating that water was going to fall from the sky to flood the world. They probably put ring side seats round the ship so they could sit and laugh at them. They were the comedy entertainment of the day and Noah wasn't believed as it had never rained before.

Too many things are presumed and then the facts are twisted and innacurate. If there was a great flood, who knows what the earths surface would have been like before the devastation. What if there was only one land mass, it wouldn't take too much to flood that especially if the mountains were much smaller than we see today. Volcanic activity could have caused any kind of re-shaping to the surface after the flood.

God did not create time. God did not create the universe or any of the
abstract truths taht exist there. Time has always existed. Truth,
semantics, logic, ethics, etc. always existed. God can not see into the
future because time is lineal. In mathematics there exists three sepeate
things. a line which has no beginning and no end. A segment that has a
beginning and an end. and a ray which has a beginning and no end. There is
no shape that has an end without a beginning. The word end connotates a
beginning at some point. The nothing that existed before either God or the
Big Bang created the universe would have ended when the universe began. It
would not have a beginning but it would have an end. That is not logical.
The universe was always here and will always be here. The science of finding
the origins of the universe is flawed because they presupose the existence of
the beginning. Therefore all evidence of the universe always being here and
changing and evolving are ignored. What maybe a simple changing of the
universe is viewed as evidence of its creation at a certain time at a certain
place.

Furthermore God is bound by these truths because number one otherwise
would be evil. To trick us into believing we must follow these truths and
then to follow another truth just for yourself is an evil. Secondly God is
bound by the truth because he exists as a truth. He gives physicality to
the abstracts. That is why God cannot transend time, logic, semantics etc.

That Tim Bedding email nearly made me throw up.

I had the worst day today as half of my friends are Christians and have
thier own private socail circle, are hypocritical and use that really
annoying arguement of "It just is, ok?" Their attitude is what one may
call un-Christian, not of love rather one of we are better than you
unbelievers.

Your site totally rocks and so does atheism, no matter how illogical and
evil it may seem to those Christians.

I used to be a Christian then became aware of what the real deal was, and
decided it sure wasn't my thing. Since then my life has improved more than
it did in the time I was a believer, so any Christians who would like to

Subject: just a little reflection

i've only read two articles and I see them as flawed as you claim I
would be as a Catholic. However, I'd like to point out regarding the
Pascal wager page that a life spent praying and doing good deeds would
not result in a wasted life if God did not exist. The world would be
better too. However, if the world ended tomorrow, no one would remember
the good things you've done because they'd be dead too. Also on the
page of "Proving your God" exists is very flawed in that the essential
question you ask is: does God exist? You are criticizing the proofs by
pretending it's: "Is your God is right?"

I could easily prove God exists. However, the proof that my God is
right is a matter of faith. It is revealed truth. You mentioned that
you'd want evidence of a miracle, but if you don't believe in science
then I can't "prove" to you that one took place. The same goes that if
you don't believe in Sacred Scripture or Sacred Tradition then I can't
prove it to you. The Truth has been revealed, but not so much that you
are forced to believe. God wouldn't be a good God if He didn't let you
use your free will to choose Him or not.

Subject: Some Doubts

Dear Adrian Barnett,

I have been a happy born-again Atheist now for the
past 20 years. I've really enjoyed the spirtual
freedom offered to me by Atheism, i mean knowing that
the universe is basically pointless and absurd i came
to the logical conclusion that like the universe my
life is just as pointless and absurd. With this
revelation came an utter and absolute lack of care for
my fellow man or the concepts of right and wrong. You
see, i can do what i like and i don't feel guilty,
it's great.

But over the last couple of years i've started to have
some doubts -- i've started to think that god, in some
form or another might actually exist. I've started to
think that there may be a deeper meaning to human
existence and it scares me.

I'm afraid to tell my wife i've been having these
doubts because she is a devout atheist who's been
going to the No-God church of Saint Charles every week
since she was 12.

All of my friends are non-belivers as well and i'm
afraid they wil ridicule and taunt me for such
irrational doubts.

There are so many questions which we as humans can't
answer, so many unknowns, so many gaps in our journey
towards absolute knowledge that to stand here and say
i know that god doesn't exist almost seems as
irrational to stand here and say that god does.

Please help me Adrian, please help me to find my
faith again in No-God, because without the spirtual
freedom offered to me by him i may start to develop a
consience, i may start to really beleive in the
concepts of right and wrong, i may start to believe
that we humans may actually be special and these
thoughts frighten me so.

I read ure Adam and Eve topic and was lol when i came to know ure silly questions being raised of
Adam's testicles and clothes etc. First of all u DONT believe in God, that means u never even
thought who is God and how is he governing the Universe, than how can u ask such foolish questions
as where did clothes come from and etc. As ure questions about one of the sons getting a gal from
somewhere, i m sorry to say that u haven't come across Islam or Quran , have u . If u have read
about Islam, then read this story in Quran and u will get all the minute details , by the way
details r not necessary anyway as do u think it is necessary for u to know how ure great great
great grandfather looked like and how he found his wife etc!!! How the electricity is available
when no one made it. Science grew by itself or did mother nature ! If u believe in science then
how about it that u ppl didnt know universe was expanding and Quran showed it 1400 years ago!
Sorry but i say u r uneducated, first of all seek all religions of the world(deep scrutiny) and
then if u find problems, then say u dont believe in anyone. By the way, Atheism is a religion
itself a religion of ignorance!

God made u to be born from ure mother's womb. SO till then it was his responsiblity that u were
son of ure mother coz he made ure destiny till then. and say that he knew u would **** ure mom!
But he didn't stop u from becoming child of ure mom! Now that u have become a mother ****** so it
is His fault that u ****** ure mom! How ridiculous, infact He gave u a chance by not interfering

Prayers may even change destinies! Did u ever pray to God, did u accept him as ure deity, no

Fact of the matter is that U have gained a little knowledge of universe and from that little
knowledge and in ure little human perspective u r trying to think as God! U r the one who is
looking ridiculous not us who believe in One Supreme God, who is So Gracious that he has given u
time to repent and believe in Him , but u will say that God forced me to not believe , U r
