Goodies from God
Disrespectful Immature Mischief Dept.
Fun is to be had by gentling abusing Christian organisations on the Web. There are
several games you can play for you own entertainment, to the detriment of organised
religion:
Freebies From Fundies
Many Christian organisations have a presence on the Net, and like to publicise themselves
and their services by giving stuff away. You can often find sites that will ask you for
a few personal details and then mail you a floppy disk with some of their stuff on it.
This is a great way to get free blank disks. Sometimes you can find places that give away
CDROMs, or posters, books and of course Bibles. Get it ALL. Fill in all the forms you can find
and have them send you a ton of free goodies.
Some of it is useless, but other stuff can serve a real purpose for humanity by being
recycled, either directly at your local paper-recycling plant, or as spare floppies,
mug coasters (CDROMs are great for this), propping up wobbly tables and so on.
And remember, each item they send you not only reduces their own resources slightly,
but also provides employment for the Postal services.
Guest books
Christian Web sites often have "guest books" for visitors to sign.
These are GREAT! Fill them in, go over the top - they'll think it's for real as long
you aren't obviously sarcastic or rude.
Example:
I thank the Lord (and He is a Good Lord) that I have found your Web Site. A shining beacon
of Truth in the wilderness that Satan has created on the internet. It is so good to know
that Jesus (Praise His Name) has found the means to bring His message of Truth to the
digital world.
They just lap it up. Tell them stories about how God saved the life of your puppy after
you read their site - anything even remotely plausible will be treated as fact by these
people.
Internet Relay Chat
I also recommend IRC channels. #atheism is usually good for a chat, and #christian can
be quite strange at times. Here's a transcript of an IRC chat I had recently.
Christian Gifts

Can you guess which products are real, and which are jokes intended to trivialise serious religious
beliefs?

of the most complained-about pages on the Secular Web (but one of the funniest).
