My atheist belief and why
First I would just like to say you have done an excellent job on your
website. You did the right thing by giving your reasons and telling
both
sides of your argument. As I read the intro of your page, I for a minute
thought I had wrote it. Your story is almost mine. I have never really
believed in God or any religion. Yes, when I was a child my mother,
father,
grandmother (and to this day) would tell me to say prayers and accept
Jesus
and be nice and all the rest. I did and still believe everyone should
live in
harmony. I am an atheist, regardless to what anyone else says. When
I became
older, I took an interest in the sciences. I began to question religion.
Many
questions ran through my mind. Such as, "If there were a God and
He was all
powerful and loved all His children, then why all the pain, death, and
evil
plagued on humanity?", Why do good and innocent people die by murder?
Eventually I threw the idea of God and Jesus out. I finally realized
all
things are made up of atoms and energies. The "heavens" are
not fixed and
the Earth isn't the centre of the universe. With accordance to the Bible,
Church, and preachers one should never question Gods word. But the Church
said the Earth is the centre of the universe and its not. Christians
believe
the Pope is God on Earth, God's representative. Yeah right, he must
be
elected by other Cardinals and clergymen. I have no doubt that people
such as
Muhammad, Jesus Christ, Abraham and others existed. Their religions
are here
today with us. But I have looked at people more or less from a third
person
perspective. I have noticed people have religions based sourly on what
their
parents' religion is. I think it is a describe, an injustice, a disadvantage
for a child if s/he is "forced" into religion. Parents like
the ones I live
around, have taken their children to be Baptized or to church since
birth.
They give the child no choice in which religion they want to follow.
Then
especially the Christians preach that unless you're a Christian you're
no
good. Christians push for people to unite to be one, but have gone to
war
with the fathers of Christianity the Jews. If not for the Hebrews
Christianity would never have existed. The Christians went to war with
the
Hebrews in 66A.D. and have forever spoke that Judaism isn't the right
way.
Christians went to war with the Muslims. They say Islam isn't the way.
All
the three religions are almost identical and Christianity is the only
way?
Yeah. Christianity was also forced upon people. Such as when the Spanish
and
English invaded the Americas. The Native Americans had Christianity
forced on
them. I have lost friends and made enemies through my beliefs. Why?
They are
blinded by religion and are so into it they don't want to hear anything
else.
Their parents should have let them, try out many religions and/or
philosophies. My belief is there is a natural energy in the Earth and
Cosmos.
This can be harnessed by meditation or by ways of Buddhist. One misconception
about Buddhism is people think Buddhist believe in a God, a higher power
or
that they worship Siddhartha (the founder of Buddhism) as God. Wrong.
Buddhism aides you in the harnessing of the secular powers. Musicians,
psychologists, philosophers all aid us in the connection of this power.
That's why on a rainy day people tend to be lethargic and depressed.
These
powers are low and have negative effects. Also atmospheric pressure
is a
factor. This is your God. Also humans evolved like all the rest of the
animals threw natural selection. If people should have a religion it
should
be Hinduism because its the oldest practiced religion or be a Darwinian
for
the evolution of the world. If you would like to hear more from me on
my
philosophy or wish to contact me email me at Irishemperor@yahoo.com

you.
Sincerely,
Kyle McKinstry
