It's quite simple. I think that iridology - the technique of diagnosing medical problems by careful examination of the iris of the eye - is a load of nonsense.
This is your chance to prove me wrong. Above is a very close-up image of my right eye, taken on 11th September, 1996. I would like you to examine it and tell me what, if any, medical problems I have, based purely on the image above.
Any (valid) replies from iridologists will be published here. This is your chance to validate your discipline to an unbelieving audience - Go for it!

Let me first state that iridology does not name or diagnose disease
conditions. It determines tissue activity; toxicity; acids; catarrh,
inherent weaknesses; the efficacy of herbs and vitamins--wheather or not a
healing program is working; and which organs/tissues are most in need of
support.
The upper portion of your photo was too dark to read, and the reflection of
the flash obscured a good area of the photo, however there were a few salient features.
In my holistic practice I identify inflammations/tissue activity as acute-inflammation, pain,
sensitivity, fever, discharge, high activity, overactive subacute-toxic absorption,
low metabolism, weak condition, less pain chronic-low metabolic activity, toxic buildup,
lack of vitality degenerative-no sensation, circulation, tissue decay
Quite a lot of non-specific stuff there...
Iridology is prevention at it's best. Therefore, you may not be aware of
challenges in various areas of your body. Sometimes, changes occur in the
iris many years before physical symptoms appear.
I will simply name a few reflex areas that are in need of support. Since I
have no physical photo to analyze, I will not determine the stage of inflammation.
Well, the image on this page is a physical photo.
Since I have no knowledge of your medical history, surgeries in particular, this brief analysis will assume you've had none. If you have had surgery such as a gall bladderectomy, you iris has recorded the stage of tissue activity just prior to the administration of general anesthesia.
Ooh! I did have a general anaesthetic for a dental operation about 15 years ago!
The following reflex areas are in need of support:
Gall bladder-evidenced by a rather pronounced "lesion" (hole) just below
8 o'clock. This underactivity could manifest as indigestion (of fatty
foods in particular), and constipation.
Nope. My digestive system is fine, and I've never had constipation since I was a young child.
Pancreas-evidenced by a lesion just after 7 o'clock. This underactivity could manifest as diabetes, and/or inefficient digestion.
Nope. No diabetes, good digestion.
Prostate/Uterus-evidenced by the darkness found at 5 o'clock
Eh?
Esophagus-Extreme darkness at 3 o'clock (smoker or ex-smoker???)
Nope. Life-long non-smoker.
Skin-Darkness around periphery of iris Perineum Pubis-(the area between the genitals and anus);
Eh?
Thigh/Hip-Darkness at 6 o'clock
My thighs and hips are fine.
Digestive, Glandular, and Reproductive Systems are in great need of nutritional cleansing/support!!!!!!!!
Nutritional cleansing of my reproductive system?!?
I could go further, but I simply want to give you enough info to help you realize that iridology is real. Don't forget that is was pioneered by a medical doctor--Ignatz von Peczley, M.D.! I have read hundreds of irises--the eyes never lie! I hope my findings have found validation in your past, but if not consider yourself forwarned of impending situations.
Holistically yours,
Roy Crayton, N.D.
