Dial-A-Bus

The Dial-A-Bus is a door-to-door transport service which will collect passengers from their home and deliver them to a particular destination and then return if necessary later. The bus is completely accessible with an easy-entry side door with low step, and a ramp for passengers travelling in wheelchairs. All trips must be booked in advance.

Shopmobility

"Shopmobility" is the name given to a scheme specially designed to increase the ability of people with a mobility problem to get out and about, and enjoy the freedom of movement that others take for granted.

It works by providing in your area a service which loans wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility equipment to those who are experiencing any kind of mobility problem in order to enable them to undertake shopping, business or other social activities. A mobile unit with the equipment will be situated in a central shopping location close to you and you will be able to book a scooter or wheelchair in advance on the telephone.
